Why Infused Water is a Good Idea
If we’ve heard it once, we’ve heard it a thousand times – we should be drinking eight, eight-ounce glasses of water a day.
For some, that’s a walk in the park, but for others it’s a struggle.
Though water is absolutely essential for life, drinking lots of it can get boring, which might make us turn to sugary juices or sodas to quench our thirst.
Rather than forcing yourself to chug water throughout the day to meet your daily requirement or drinking your calories with juices and sodas, you should give infused water a whirl.
If you’ve enjoyed the infused water that’s sometimes available in a hotel lobby, but couldn’t quite figure out how to recreate that beverage at home, we’re here to give you a solution and some ideas on how to make your own infused water.
Let’s first start with the solution. Sure, you can just plop some ingredients into a pitcher, place it in the refrigerator and call it a day. But, that’s no fun. Why? Because there’s always a cool gadget to test out and use to make your life a whole lot easier. Just take our Flavor Infuser, for example. This beverage ball helps keep the fruit slices contained and the pulp out of your beverages. A win-win if you ask us!
Now that we have the solution ironed out, let’s look at some easy recipe ideas that will kick-start your water-infusing efforts!
To begin, you’ll need a pitcher of water. From there, you can take a look at this short list of ingredient combinations to get you started:
- Basil + Strawberry + Cucumber
- Lemon + Lime + Mint
- Raspberry + Lemon
- Blueberry + Orange
- Orange + Lemon + Lime
Part of the fun of infusing your water is to use your creativity when coming up with flavor combinations!
So take the boredom out of your water intake and give these infused water ideas a spin!
